Intro to MTB
WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
With low participant numbers, the idea is to suit the ride to your off-road ambitions and build basic skills and confidence.
Our half day intro course is designed for riders new to mountain biking. The coaching sessions are appropriate for riders at an introduction or beginner level and are designed to build confidence in a social and relaxed setting building at your pace.
The three-hour course focuses on developing core biking techniques.
The sessions include coaching on:
- The ‘ready’ position
- Pedalling (or Not!)
- Gear selection
- Climbing & descending
- Developing balance for slow riding/stationary balance
- Line Selection
- Small Drop-offs
OWN BIKE OR HIRE?
You will need to provide a working bike suitable for offroad riding, a helmet and gloves – Don’t worry if you don’t have these yet as these can be hired from our partners at Bewdley Outdoors
The coaching is conducted on carefully designed maintained cross-country MTB trails.
No previous experience is required and participants should be able to spend a few hours in the saddle.
