In the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, you will be spoilt for choice with stunning walks and views round every corner.
Most of our guided walks start from in and around the village of Church Stretton. We’ll climb through Shropshire’s ‘little Switzerland’ passing waterfalls and ancient fossils up to the top of the Mynd learning about the history and features. Our routes down take in the ‘batches’, deep valleys eventually ending up at a tea room for a well-earned cake.
The walk takes in ancient trackways Iron Age settlements and Bronze Age Barrows all in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Learning to use a map and compass is hugely rewarding as it opens up a world of walks and adventures. Being self-sufficient in the hills brings huge pleasure, relaxation, and peace of mind.
Black Dog Adventures offers a variety of navigation courses in the Shropshire hills.
Please get in contact if you have any questions or would like to inquire about alternative dates for the courses, split days and alternatives to what is listed. We are always happy to try to accommodate your requests.
